About us
The Underseasoned BBQ Show was born out of smoke, fire, and a love for barbecue culture.
Our Story
Hosted by Jay and Sigh the Under Seasoned BBQ Show more than just a podcast , it’s a celebration of everything that comes with barbecue culture: recipes, pitbuilders, butchery, new products, tattoos, artists and plenty more.
Each week we share stories from the pit, spotlight cooks and creators, have a laugh, celebrate the wins and the fails and discuss the hot topics around food in general. It’s Barbecue, mixed with foodie-related content, pizza, burgers, gumbo, tacos you name, the boys are into it.

Meet the hosts
SIGH LUXTON
Simon Luxton, aka Art by Sigh, is an Australian artist whose bold, surf-and-punk-inspired style has become a fixture in the barbecue scene. Starting out with graffiti and tattoo work, he’s since made his mark through murals, merchandise, and illustrations for festivals, teams, and brands. His portfolio includes standout projects for Meatstock, Jack Daniel’s, The Rock and Fireball.
Sigh is also the brainchild of Born Dry, a canned water brand born from his love for art, ink, and clean design. The whole idea is to offer water that isn’t packed with sugar, doesn’t come in plastic, and still looks badass with each flavour is wrapped in artwork by Sigh himself.
JAY BEAUMONT
Jay Beaumont is the co-founder and director of Meatstock, the largest barbecue and music festival series in Australia and New Zealand. Drawing over 70,000 fans annually, Meatstock has become a cultural phenomenon, celebrating the very best of barbecue, butchery, music, and food culture.
Beyond Meatstock, Jay is also the co-founder and a current board member of the Australasian Barbecue Alliance (ABA), the leading sanctioning body for competitive barbecue across Australia and New Zealand. Through the ABA, he has helped establish the rules, rankings, and standards that have shaped the region’s thriving barbecue scene, while championing pitmasters, brands, and communities that keep the smoke rolling.
Our mission
The Underseasoned BBQ Show exists to celebrate and champion the people, brands, and stories that shape barbecue culture. We shine a light on the pitmasters, creators, and innovators who often fly under the radar, giving recognition where it’s deserved. While barbecue can be serious business, we believe it should also be fun, so we mix smoke and fire with laughs, stories, and a little chaos. Our mission is to showcase the depth and diversity of barbecue culture, whether you’re a die-hard pit enthusiast or just discovering the world of live fire cooking.
